Caring for a child with disabilities/special needs, whether from birth, illness or other injury is an exhausting and daunting task for parents. More often than not, the stress of the medical care required, insurance issues and medical bills take an enormous toll on families and marriages. Did you know the divorce rate among couples raising a child with special needs is estimated to be more than 70%? That’s more than the national average of 50% among the general population. This is why our events focus on the supporting family unit. |
